Mitsubishi Aluminum announced on Thursday the firm integrates the aluminium foil manufacturing business into a new subsidiary, MA Packaging, on 1 January, 2009. The present subsidiaries, MA Packaging and MA Foil, will be integrated. Cost cut and sales increase effect is expected at 150 million yen per annum. The annual sales of the newly integrated company are estimated at 17 billion yen in fiscal 2010 ending March 2011.MA Packaging and MA Foil produce and sell aluminium foil and the related products for industrial usages such as containers, daily goods, packaging materials and solar back sheets. The business circumstance is very severe with domestic market maturation, cheaper imports inflow and material costs upsurge. Mitsubishi Aluminum aim to improve the business profitability by the integration.
