Wire Techno Raises Wire Product Price by 10,000-150,000 y/t

Wire Techno, Japanese major electric furnace maker, Godo Steel’s subsidiary, will raise the selling price of all common steel wire products, common steel wire, nail, galvanized steel wire, annealed steel wire and barbed wire, by 10,000-15,000 yen per tonne for the shipping in October. Godo Steel announced to raise the selling price of common steel wire rod by 10,000 yen per tonne from October shipping. Wire Techno improves the selling price when material price increases, in addition to sub-material and transport cost. The firm increased the price at 3 times after April and June. The firm said the demand for common steel wire products keeps slow; the firm can’t absorb cost increasing.
