Steel Market Price Drops for Building Material around Tokyo

Downward trend of steel product price for building material is flourishing around Tokyo. Unequal angle steel market price decreased to 110,000 yen per tonne by 5,000 yen in last week. The market price decreased by 5,000 yen for H-beam in March from February around Tokyo, by 4,000 yen for rebar and by 3,000 yen for equal angle. The market price decreased to 113,000 yen per tonne by 2,000 yen for I-beam, 113,000 yen by 2,000 yen for light-gauge c-shaped steel, too. Dealers are selling the steel products in the red though major steel makers keep the selling price.I-beam is stocked by few dealers, but I-beam market price is decreasing. The market price is expected to continue downward trend when a request for price cut is strong from users to dealers.
