Weak Steal Sheet Price around Tokyo

Steel Sheet price would decline around Tokyo. The market price is 64,000-67,000 per tonne for hot rolled flat steel and 65,000-68,000 yen for pickling steel while the cold rolled is 83,000-85,000 yen. The price of coated sheet is 88,000-91,000 yen for hot rolled based and 98,000-101,000 yen for cold rolled based. Many market sources estimates the demand remains at low level for a while and the market price would decline more.

The dealers’ shipment remains low. The dealers and coil centers are still in middle of inventory adjustment and some selling price is lower than current market price for the liquidation. They are still uncertain when the market to hit bottom.

Unchanged sheet price by integrated steel makers strengthen the uncertainly while Tokyo Steel Manufacturing reduces the price by 5,000 yen per tonne for April order. The integrated steel makers indicate small price adjustment for April when they are still negotiating for major iron making raw materials price for the year starting April.
