H-beam market price is weak at around 78,000 yen per tonne around for 200 by 100 millimeters width Tokyo. Nippon Steel left the price unchanged for April order but the market price could decrease due to slower demand. The price could decrease more under slower demand.
The dealers’ inventory decreased by 4.2% to 47,500 tonnes at end of March from February, according to Nippon Steel. Nippon Steel restarted the production for the dealers. The dealers’ arrivals from the makers increased by 95.9%. The inventory is still overstock. Tokyo Steel Manufacturing increased the concrete reinforcing steel bar price in some areas while ferrous scrap price is expected to hit bottom. However, the scrap price is still lower to increase from now. The H-beam dears still have to reduce the inventory while some of the dealers finished the adjustment.
