Ferrous scrap market price is flat at around 14,000 yen per tonne for H2, around 15,800 yen for H1 and around 17,500 yen for HS grade at the dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is likely to keep the level due to limited supply despite of the low level consumption.
Local electric furnace steel makers pay 21,000-22,000 yen per tonne for H2 grade scrap. The dealers ship the material to coastal yards instead to the steel makers when the export from Tokyo bay is firm for Eastern Asian buyers. The high level scrap shipping could limit the supply for local steel makers for a while. Ferrous scrap market price is flat at around 12,500 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Osaka.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
