Flat Ferrous Scrap Price in Tokyo

Ferrous scrap market price is flat at around 17,500 yen per tonne for H2, around 19,300 yen for H1 and around 21,000 yen for HS grade at the dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is likely to keep the level when the price is same level as the export price from Tokyo bay.

Local electric furnace steel makers pay 24,500-26,000 yen per tonne for H2 grade. Tokyo Steel Manufacturing increased the purchase price by 1,000-1,500 yen per tonne at Utsunomiya plant on Wednesday but other makers keep the price level. The dealers try to find the next trend under mixed market.

Ferrous scrap market price is flat at around 16,500 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Osaka. Local electric furnace steel makers pay 24,500-25,500 yen.
