Lower Angle, Channel Price in Tokyo

Market price of angle and channel steel is weak tone at 70,000-71,000 yen for equal angle with 6 millimeters thick and 50 mm width and 75,000-76,000 yen for channel with 5 mm thick, 50 by 100 mm width. Dealers’ shipment keeps low. Users are maintaining to require the price cut to dealers. Some dealers are selling at a purchase price. The market price is expected to continue to decrease step by step.

Dealers’ shipping volume more dropped after middle of June, which is decreasing from last month. Dealers are reducing order volume to makers with low shipping, but their inventory is slightly increasing.

Dealers’ selling price is already lower than profitable line. Dealers are forced to reduce the selling price. Because the demand for building material is decreasing, dealers is likely to continue to reduce the selling price for the securement of sale destination.

Tokyo Steel Manufacturing’s price announcement is a point. The firm may reduce the selling price of channel despite of rising ferrous scrap price.
