Furukawa-Sky Aluminium Launches New Low Cost High Performance Plate

Furukawa-Sky Aluminum announced on Tuesday the firm developed new aluminium plate for industrial machinery, Fus Plate. The new plate has higher precision and lower price. The firm tries to market the products along with existing A5052 for general use and FP52 with high precision.

The firm has 2 plate products line including A5052 and FP52, which has precise gauge and flatness along with minimum residual stress and is used for semiconductor and liquid crystal panel making equipment, solar power generation panel making equipment, medical and optical equipment and molds.

The firm developed the new plate, Fus Plate to balance the performance and cost. The new plate has around 50% better flatness than general plate, with minimum cost up. The new products has around 50% of residual stress, which impacts on processing strain for cutting and machining. The firm guarantees gauge with a half to a third of tolerance of Japanese Industrial Standards.

The firm expects the users can reduce the cost by selecting the plate products in their needs. The firm provides Fus Plate with 4-50 mm thick, 1,000 by 2,000 mm width, 1,250 by 2,500 mm width and 1,525 by 3,050 mm width.
