Steel sheet market price increased by 1,000-2,000 yen per tonne from last week around Tokyo when coil centers and dealers raised the reselling price with decreasing inventory and rising international sheet market price. The demand is unlikely to recover soon from building materials. However, they hurried profit improvement. Tokyo Steel Manufacturing, Japanese largest electric furnace steel maker, raised the sheet price by 2,000 yen per tonne on Tuesday. Coil centers and dealers aim additional hike to follow Tokyo Steel’s price up.
Sheet steel market price is 61,000-64,000 yen per tonne for hot rolled sheet, 62,000-64,000 yen per tonne for pickling steel and 74,000-77,000 yen per tonne for cold rolled sheet. The price is 86,000-88,000 yen per tonne for hot rolled based zinc electroplating sheet and 95,000-98,000 yen for cold rolled based zinc electroplating sheet around Tokyo.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
