Japanese rolled copper products output decreased by 26.4% to 62,800 tonnes in July from a year earlier, which showed year-to-year decrease for 12 months in a row, announced by Japan Copper and Brass Association on Thursday. The rate of drop year-to-year basis shrank from the worst of 60.2%, marked in March. The copper strip and bronze sheet and strip production increased due to the recovery in automobile and semiconductor related industry. On the other hand, the brass bar and copper tubular production remained low reflecting the stagnation in construction market.See attached table.
