Japanese demand of aluminium ingot and rolled products deceased by 35.5% to 1.432 million tonnes in January-June from same period of 2008, announced by Japan Aluminium Association on Thursday. The demand is the lowest level since 1986 due to slow demand for automobile. The rolled products demand decreased by 30.0% to 725,382 tonnes.
Japanese production of rolled products decreased by 20.2% to 166,312 tonnes in June from a year earlier. The shipment decreased by 19.7% to 166,673 tonnes.
