Japanese aluminium construction material production decreased by 18.0% to 20,349 tonnes in April from a year earlier, according to Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The shipment decreased by 12.9% to 25,239 tonnes, which represented year-on-year decline for all items. The demand remains stagnant.
The production and shipment of aluminium sash for wooden housing, the largest application, showed two-digit decrease and the demand is unlikely to recover. Building sash demand is also stagnant, though the range of drop was smaller. The door and exterior shipment was also at lower level. It seems to take more time for the recovery.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
