Japan Low Rare Metal Import with Surplus Inventory in March

Japanese rare metal import volume represented year-to-year decrease for all 19 items of the statistics by Ministry of Finance in April. Domestic consumers still hold surplus rare metal inventories though the demand for electronic parts and materials bottomed out during January-March. Rare metals for steel making, such as molybdenum and vanadium, are also under inventory adjustment.
