H-beam market price is strong at 68,000-70,000 yen per tonne for 200 by 100 millimeters width around Tokyo. Dealers are trying to sustain the market price when Tokyo Steel Manufacturing left H-beam selling price unchanged for October orders. The demand maintains weak but H-beam market price is expected to keep gradual rise.
Dealers’ shipment stays low in September, as weak as in August. Dealers continue to minimize procurement along unforeseeable demand in near future. Dealers’ inventory seems to be the same level in September from the end of August. Dealers are raising the reselling price to 70,000 yen per tonne and going to offer additional hike by 3,000-5,000 yen within September for profit improvement. Users’ orders don’t recover to dealers but dealers focus on penetration of the price hike to clear negative net worth. Ferrous scrap price is rebounding. Dealers aim to fix the market price at over 70,000 yen per tonne.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
