H-beam market price is weak at around 65,000-66,000 yen per tonne for 200 by 100 millimeters width in Tokyo. Order receipt volume dropped at many dealers in November from October due to low demand. H-beam users require price cut to dealers. Some dealers approved and lowered the reselling price.
Dealers are reducing H-beam procurement from makers. However, dealers’ inventory seems increasing with slow shipment caused by users’ spot purchasing. Tokyo Steel Manufacturing set its H-beam selling price unchanged for December contracts. But the market price maintains downward, declining to 60,000-65,000 yen per tonne around Tokyo. Some makers are reducing the selling price for civil engineering. Dealers are concerned building construction price and H-beam market price would contiue to lower for a while.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
