Japanese stainless steel scrap export decreased by 49.9% to 12,174 tonnes in October from a year earlier, according to Ministry of Finance. The export hit more than 10,000 tonnes for the first time in 3 months. However, the export decreased to China and the export to South Korea was less than 10,000 tonnes for 3 months in a row.
The export decreased by 85.3% to 1,331 tonnes to China in October from a year earlier, which represents the yearly lowest level as same as August. The export to South Korea was 8,736 tonnes, down by 41.8% while the export to Taiwan was 2,003 tonnes.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
