Secondary Aluminium Alloy Price in Uptrend, Tokyo

Secondary aluminium alloy makers’ ingot selling price is strong at around 190-195 yen per kilogram for AD12.1 grade by small-lot shipment on 120-day draft in Tokyo. Alloy makers and die casting makers are in price negotiations for December shipment. Alloy makers offered price hike by 5-10 yen to exceed 200 yen per kg.

Alloy makers’ purchasing price for aluminium scrap surged by 10 yen per kg in December for both high and low grades. Additive metal prices are also increasing. Additionally, Chinese secondary aluminium alloy price is recently rising. These are positive factors for alloy makers’ price hike.

On the other hand, die casting makers are unwilling to approve wide-range hike. Alloy makers and die casting makers are now talking on the price hike range.
