H-beam market price is weak at 61,000-62,000 yen per tonne around Hiroshima. Japanese major H-beam makers such as Tokyo Steel Manufacturing announced to decrease their selling prices by 2,000 yen per tonne for January contracts. The market price is weakening to follow the makers’ announcement.
Dealers’ shipment volume is low. Some dealers are offering below 60,000 yen. A dealer source said the market price wouldn’t hit the bottom with little demand. Dealers are trying to keep H-beam inventory volume flat by order reduction to the makers. The dealer source said they should decrease the inventory even more with low demand.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
