Flat Cold Rolled Price around Tokyo

Cold rolled steel sheet market price is flat at 74,000-76,000 yen per tonne for base size around Tokyo. The demand is firm for automobile and home electronics related. Steel makers would keep the full capacity operation until April-May and some deliveries are delayed, according to the dealer source.

While the maker’s shipment is firm, the dealers’ shipment remains low for construction. The shipment of standard sized material would not increase while the demand for steel furniture remains low.

However, the dealers and the coil centers decreased the inventory to normal level. The dealers have some stock out sizes. While the price of steel raw materials is unavoidable to increase after April, the dealers aim to increase the reselling price.
