Ahresty’s Domestic Die Cast Sales to Increase by 10% in Jan-Mar

Japanese major die casing maker, Ahresty expects its domestic die cast sales volume for January-March 2010 could increase by 10% compared with October-December 2009 and reach 77% level of the recent demand peak in fiscal 2007 (April 2007-March 2008). Domestic demand for die cast has steadily recovered thanks to the government’s scrap incentives for eco friendly cars or the progress of automakers’ inventory adjustments.

Among the domestic plants, Ahresty Tochigi’s current production is even higher than the peak in fiscal 2007. Die cast sales volume by the other domestic plants in Aichi, Shizuoka and Kumamoto was likely to reach 70% level for October-December 2009 compared with fiscal 2007.

Ahresty’s operation is also improving at overseas. Guangzhou Ahresty Casting is enjoying the increase of die cast order receipt volume month by month thanks to the car market growth in China. Order receipts at Ahresty Wilmington Corporation in USA have recovered to around 80% level compared with the peak before the financial crisis. At Ahresty Mexicana in Mexico, the current order receipt volume is as high as the peak in summer 2008.
