Some dealers increased H-beam offer by 2,000 yen to 65,000 yen per tonne around Tokyo. They try to pass higher cost price after Tokyo Steel Manufacturing announced the 3,000 yen hike for order in March. The dealers are likely to increase the price more when the users accept the price hike.
H-beam price is expected to increase significantly when integrated steel makers announced the makers increase the price by 15,000 yen per tonne for flat steel and other products. The integrated steels seem to offer 80,000 yen for H-beam to steel structure fabricators. While the makers are expected to hike the price, the dealers plan to increase the price considering business condition of the users. The fabricators accept an order below the cost due to the stagnation in construction. Sharp increase in H-beam price could worsen the users’ profitability more and the users could face liquidity problems.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
