Japanese aluminium re-rollers’ operation rate was averagely 72% in January for flat products and extrusions, plus by 17.1 percentage points from a year earlier, according to Japan Aluminium Association. Re-rollers’ operations are recovering to the ordinary level from the worst time immediately after Lehman Shock.
Re-rollers’ operation rate averagely exceeded 70% for flat products thanks to the stable demand for can materials. Meanwhile, operation rate was relatively low for extrusions. The demand maintains low for construction materials. One positive factor is the eco-point system newly applied to residents, led by Japanese government.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
