Tokyo Steel Manufacturing launches pickling steel sheet export to China for the shipment in April-May. The firm accepted an order from Chinese automobile parts maker in late March. The firm strengthens the automobile related business while Tahara plant starts commercial production. The firm tries to increase the automotive steel sheet supply by exporting to China.
Tokyo Steel Manufacturing increases the export. The export was 16,000 tonnes in April-December 2009. However, the export increased to 100,000 tonnes in January-March 2010. The export price to Southeast Asia is FOB US$ 720 per tonne for hot rolled coil and the firm increased the offer to US$ 750 for the shipment in May-June last week when ferrous scrap price increased.
