Benkan Japan to Accelerate Cooperation with Canadoil

Japanese major fitting maker, Benkan Japan tries to expand the export business through wider tie-up with Thai major steel pipe and welding pipe joint maker, Canadoil group, the parent company of the firm in Thailand. Benkan Japan plans to produce the synergy by mutual original equipment manufacturing and joint procurement with Canadoil. Benkan Japan targets 50% of export rate for the sales from current 15% in mid-term period.

Benkan Japan supplies the product in Thailand cooperating mutual OEM with Thai Benkan Company and the firm launched mutual OEM with Canadoil group in 2009. The firms supply welding fitting and cooperate in accepting an order for overseas project.

Benkan Japan closed 1 of 4 plants in Japan and transferred the manufacturing to other plant. The firm reduces the cost by 1 billion yen per year through the restructuring.
