Tostem, Asahi Glass to Cooperate in High End Window Business

Tostem and Asahi Glass announced on Thursday they reached basic agreement for alliance in high performance and high quality window business. They start the talk and try to establish the joint venture by the end of the year to develop and make the high end products.

Tostem and Asahi Glass have cooperated in sash and exterior wall material. The firms cooperate in development and manufacturing of high quality window. The firms plan to guarantee the window including glass and sash while the guarantee is separated for sash and glass traditionally.

Tostem and Asahi Glass jointly improve quality of window products while sash and glass were developed separately, said Tostem’s chairman Yoichiro Ushioda at press conference.

The joint venture of 2 firms plan to build a development and guarantee system of the window products while Tostem plans to streamline the delivery and other operations.
