Pig iron international price is increasing. Pig iron export price increased to more than FOB US$ 500 per tonne from Russia and Ukraine after Brazilian and Indian export price increased. The export price is increasing due to the increase in world raw steel output, according to one trade firm source.
Pig Iron export price is FOB US$ 520-530 per tonne from Russia and Ukraine to Europe, same as Brazilian export price. The price increased by more than US$ 100 from the beginning of March. The offer from the exporter in Brazil increased to FOB US$ 550 per tonne for July shipment. The trade firm source sees the offer is expensive against the current market. However, the steel making material price is expected to increase more after April-June shipment.
