World Primary Al Production Increases by 18.5% in March

　　　World primary aluminium ingot production increased by 1.3% to 2.045 million tonnes in March from a year earlier, according to International Aluminium Institute. The production in China, which is non-member country of IAI, increased by 57.9% to 1.394 million tonnes and the production annualized 16.42 million tonnes. The world production including China increased by 18.5% to 3.439 million tonnes and annualized 40.479 million tonnes.

The production increased by 18.1% to 438,000 tonnes in Asia excluding China in March from a year earlier when the new smelting plants increased the output in Middle East. The production slightly increased in Africa and Oceania while the production decreased in North America, Latin America and Europe.
