Toyo Kohan Establishes Nickel Plating Company in China

Toyo Kohan announced on Monday the firm established a joint company to produce nickel plating steel sheet in China with Chinese local plating manufacturer. This is the first offshore plating factory for Toyo Kohan. The joint company produces nickel plating sheet for battery and other applications. Toyo Kohan enhances Chinese business through the site.

The joint company, named Hunan TOYO-LEED Material Science & Technology, was established with capital fund of 30 million yuan (approximately 410 million yen), fifty-fifty percent invested by Toyo Kohan and the partner company. The joint company was established in Hunan on March 29th. The president is Mr. Masafumi Miyaji, Toyo Kohan’s managing director.

Toyo Kohan sends 3 engineers to the joint company. The joint company advances technical learning and market research while seeks the additional businesses to plate stainless steel, aluminum or copper sheets. Toyo Kohan produces nickel plating sheet at about 3,500 tonnes per month in Japan.
