Ahresty examines to establish a die casting plant in central China. Mr. Arata Takahashi, president of Ahresty, explained at a press conference on Wednesday. The firm plans capital expenditure at 0.8 billion yen for fiscal 2010 ending in March 2011 and 1.1 billion yen for fiscal 2011 including investment for the plant construction. The new plant will be Ahresty’s second plant in China.
Mr. Takahashi said Ahresty aims to sell automotive components to automakers in central China including Volkswagen, General Motors and local capital makers. Details of the new plant will be announced soon for operation size, construction schedule and location. The existent subsidiary in China, Guangzhou Ahresty Casting continues full operation and cannot expand the capacity any more.
