H-Beam Price Drops by 2,000 y/t around Tokyo

H-beam market price decreased to 76,000-77,000 yen per tonne by 2,000-3,000 yen in this week from last week, which was below 80,000 yen for the first time in 3 months. The market price is decreasing when electric furnace makers’ selling price is decreasing. Order from users hovers at low level to dealers in July. The market price maintains to gradually drop for a while.

The selling price of electric furnace makers is lower than the selling price of integrated steel makers by over 10,000 yen per tonne. Most dealers sell low price when integrated steel makers’ products.

Tokyo Steel’s selling price decreased to72, 000 yen by 1,000 yen to general constructors in this week from last week. Dealers’ selling price is low due to decreased price of Tokyo Steel. Dealers’ sales volume maintains low level and is flat in July from June. Many dealers reduces inventory with shipping volume.
