Angle and Channel Market Price Decreases by 3,000 y/t around Tokyo

Equal angle market price decreased to 77,000-78,000 yen per tonne by 3,000 yen in this week and channel price decreased to 79,000-80,000 yen around Tokyo. These market prices more dropped when H-beam price decreased. Order from users hovers at low level in July.

Osaka Steel and JFE Bards & Shapes didn’t change selling price of equal angle and channel in July. The market price is decreasing by users’ request when order from users is low in July.

Tokyo Steel reduced selling price of channel by 7,000 yen. Because deference of prices between Tokyo Steel and other makers, channel market price for some size products is expected to decrease.

Dealers’ profit is decreasing by dropped market price and rising purchase price. Some dealers are selling .

Tokyo Steel reduced purchase price of ferrous scrap by 1000 yen in Okayama and Tawara Plants by marine delivery, and by 500 yen in Kyusyu, Takamatsu, Utsunomiya and Tawara plants.

Market price of large diameter square steel price is flat 100,000 yen per tonne. Dealers maintains selling price of the steel, but users requires price cut when other shaped steel price is decreasing.

Dealers’ inventory is decreasing, while shipping volume is same level from last month. Warehousing volume decreased large when dealers reduces order.

Square steel makers announced to increase selling price by 10,000 yen in July shipping. However, it is hard dealers pass rising purchase price on selling price.
