Japan H-beam Export Increases by 89% in Fiscal 2009

Japanese H-beam export increased by 89.2% to 355,528 tonnes in fiscal 2009 ended March 2010 from fiscal 2008 due to the higher shipment to East Asia, according to Ministry of Finance. The averaged unit price decreased by 48.6% to FOB 55,200 yen per tonne.

Japanese H-beam import decreased by 43.6% to 46,079 tonnes in fiscal 2009 from fiscal 2008 due to the weak demand in Japanese market. The averaged unit price declined by 37.5% to CIF 54,400 yen per tonne.
