Tostem announced on Tuesday the firm decided to purchase 49% share in Chinese major curtain wall maker, Shanghai Meite Curtain Wall System through investment in Amtronic of Singapore, which is holding company of Shanghai Meite Curtain Wall System.
Shanghai Meite Curtain Wall System has 2 plants and 7 sales offices in China. The firm supplied curtain wall for skyscraper buildings in China. The sales were about 1 billion yuan in 2009. Tostem provides support to Shanghai Meite Curtain Wall System in technology and management areas while Tostem tries to expand the business by utilizing marketing resources of Shanghai Meite Curtain Wall System. Tostem also plans to export competitive priced products to Japan from China.
