World’s Primary aluminium production increased by 3.6% to 3.376 million tonnes in October from a year earlier, announced by International Aluminium Institute, of which 1.291 million tonnes in China, according to China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. The range of increase was lower than 11.0% in August and 6.2% in September when Chinese smelters reduced the output.
The primary aluminium production in GAC/Gulf Region was 235,000 tonnes in October, increasing by 16,000 tonnes from September while the production showed month-to-month decline for 2 months in a row since August due to the operation from electric outage. The production is increasing. On the other hand, the production in China decreased by 1.4% to 1.291 million tonnes in October from September, which represented 4 straight months decline and marked the yearly lowest as same as January, according to CNIA.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
