Sangyo Shinko, Japanese major ferrous scrap dealer, starts operation of Himeji scrap depository near Himeji gulf in mid March for enhancement of business base and improvement of customer satisfaction. The depository’s ferrous scrap shipment is projected at about 3,500 tonnes per month. The site is about 7,000 square meters. The construction started in October 2010, including introduction of 2 heavy machines and radiation-detection equipment. Sangyo Shinko plans to supply ferrous scrap to local areas as well as other areas by grand and marine transportation.
Himeji depository has function of scrap pickup and shipment. The site can stock ferrous scrap at about 10,000 tonnes mainly for heavy scrap and new cutting scrap regardless of processed or non-processed. Sangyo Shinko can process ferrous scrap by guillotine shearing machine in Hirohata works, another yard in Himeji area. The firm has increased and expanded scrap yards along its mid-term management strategy by 2014. The firm opened 3 new domestic depositories in 2010.
