Manufacturing industries were made impact by earthquake in North Japan. There is fear that North Japan becomes hollowed out by transfer to West Japan or overseas. Miyagi prefecture started planning of recovery program, and maintains employment and builds up electric power supply for manufacturing industries.
The prefecture is recovering road, railway for one month, while manufacturing industries or agriculture, forestry and fisheries industry are recovering. Some manufactures turn over plant to West Japan or overseas. The prefecture plans the program until August for prevention of manufactures’ diversion. The prefecture recovers for 10 years and restructures economy and expands manufacturing industries.
