Toyota Motor apparently revised the domestic production plan upward to slightly more than 13,000 units per day for August, according to industry source. The firm apparently increases the production for June to around 90% level compared with plan made before the major earthquake. The firm increases the production to near 100% or more of the plan in and after July.
Toyota Motor notified parts and materials suppliers of the revised production plan through August. The firm plans about 222,000 units of production for August with 17 operation days. The firm could add one more operation day for August. The firm plans around 11,300 units of daily production for June with 22 operation days. The production would be around 12,000 units per day for July with 21 operation days. A source in coil center expects Toyota Motor would cover the lower production in April-June by increasing the production in and after July to realize the targeted annual production as before the quake. The source also expects coil centers’ profit could reach on breakeven point level for the first half year.M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
