Japanese three companies, Panasonic Corporation, DOWA Holdings and Sumitomo Corporation, and Chinese recycling company, Hangzhou DADI Environmental Protection Engineering, announced on Monday they have reached an agreement to establish a jointly-held company to recycle home appliances and electronics in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province of China. This is the first recycling business by Japanese home appliance maker in China. The joint company will start commercial operation in spring of 2012.
The joint company is named Panasonic DADI DOWA Summit Recycling Hangzhou. The joint company will collect and recycle used home appliances including televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and personal computers at the own plant where Japanese recycling technologies and facilities will be introduced.
