Nippon Steel Engineering announced on Thursday the firm awarded an order of CDQ (Coke Dry Quenching) from Dragon Steel Corporation, a member of China Steel Corporation Group. Dragon Steel introduces these 2 set of CDG which has the cooling capacity at 140 tonnes per hour, and starts operation of 2 CDQ within 2013 when the firm starts operation of no.2 blast furnace in 2013. Dragon Steel commissioned no.1 blast furnace on February 2010.
Through competition among Japanese and Chinese suppliers, Nippon Steel Engineering received recognition due to the firm’s high reliability and advanced performance of CDQ technology supported by abundant supply record. The firm’s order receipt achievement was 92 set of CDQ in Japan and overseas, which was 68 set in overseas. In Taiwan, the firm received order from 2 set from China Steel Corporation. CDQ can cool cokes by inactive gas such as nitrogen inner cooling tower and take up heat energy.
