Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless Steel Corporation announced on Thursday the firm reduces nickel series cold rolled stainless steel sheet selling price by 20,000 yen to 380,000 yen per tonne for dealers for June shipment. NSSC reduces stainless plate price by 20,000 yen for June order. The firm reduces the selling price for the first time in 2 months. The firm could increase base price of plate in and after July under tight supply and higher energy cost.
NSSC leaves chrome series stainless steel sheet selling price unchanged at 280,000 yen per tonne for June as May. NSSC also announced the firm significantly cuts nickel series stainless steel sheet order receipt for July shipment to reduce dealers’ inventory when the dealers’ stock is increasing. The firm reflects lower average nickel price at London Metal Exchange in May to the selling price of nickel series products.
