Flat Al Scrap Price in Osaka for 2H of June

Aluminium scrap dealers agreed with secondary alloyed aluminium makers to leave the scrap price unchanged around Osaka for second half of June shipment due to lower demand and flat primary aluminium price. The price is 167-177 yen per kilogram for new cutting grade, 130-140 yen for sash scrap and 128-135 yen for used beverage can.

Japanese imported primary aluminium ingot breakeven point was 228 yen per kg for first half of June same as second half of May due to higher yen exchange rate while averaged settlement at London Metal Exchange was US$ 78 higher for first half of June at US$ 2,616 than the price in second half of May.

UBC demand was firm. However, UBC user of deoxidizing agent makers reduced the higher transaction price to same as price of secondary aluminium alloy makers and can material makers.
