Japan’s iron scrap market prices continued to fall last weekend.
Shipments from the market to manufacturers are accelerating in the domestic market, and electric furnace companies are buying iron scrap for large holidays, while ferrous scrap export prices continue to fall, mainly for Korea.
“Deterioration of the demand environment is causing iron scrap prices to continue” the official said.
