No.4 blast furnaces of Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Yawata Works was improved for expansion on April 20th. After that, it has been operating smoothly. Tapping quantity exceed 10,000 tons per day, and it is more than planned level. Cokes used amount per a ton of hot metal has been keeping low level.
