Mitsui Mining to Continue Rising Sales of Car Exhaust Purification Catalyst and Ultra Thin Foil

Mitsui Mining President Sadao Senda said at a results briefing on Wednesday, to need to continue increasing sales of car exhaust purification catalyst for motorcycle, automobile, and Ultra thin foil with peelable copper carrier “Micro Thin” and improve profit for automobile functional component and Asia copper foil business, for recurring increased profit in fiscal 2014 ending March 2015. But because contribution profit of Caserones copper mine in Chile is lower than originally expected, recurring profit is not expected to reach to numerical targets in this term raised in current 3 years medium-term plan.
