Steel beam demand of Japan in fiscal 2013 increased by 13.6% from the previous year to 5.408 million tons, it exceeded the previous year level for the 4th straight year. Though steel beam demand fall well short of 5.89 million tons level in 2008, it is doing better steadily from the bottom, 3.9 million tons in fiscal 2009 due to recovery in the economy.
