Toho Titanium announced on 22nd to construct a mill for Titanium sponge in Saudi Arabia with local 2 makers. Investment amount is around 420 million dollers. Annual output capability is 15,600 tons, and the firm plans to start the production in the second half of 2016. Construction of the mill for Titanium sponge abroad is the first time for Toho Titanium. The cost of producing electricity in Saudi Arabia is several times lower than Japan, so the firm expects to get high ground for cost competitiveness.
