Kobe Steel announced on 2nd to develop processing technology of assembly type crankshaft for shipping diesel engine using blocking forging procedure. The forging procedure can raise an endurance strength by over 20% from existing replication forging procedure by a combination of reduction in the sulfur content, and character of coherent forged steel maker. Because the firm established technology for large shipping like 50,000 ton bulker recently, the firm started manufacturing.
