Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal expanded steel pipe business for automobile in abroad. Nippon Steel Pipe Mexico, a subsidiary, started to operate in May. In June, Nippon Steel Pipe India, increased capability, started quantity output. Production capability of steel pipe for automobile in abroad increased from annual 250,000 tons to 300,000 tons.
