Copper and Brass Products Output Decreases by 2.5% in May

According to copper and brass products output prompt report of May Japan Copper and Brass Association announced on 26th, total output decreased by 2.5% from the previous month to 63,680 tons. Though demand for automobile and smartphone-related item improved, semiconductor and air-conditioning equipment kept low level and they was below the previous year level. Production for export exceed the last year result for the 2nd straight months, but it could not cover decreasing domestic demand.
